Tories and PNP - Cards on the Table Folks

Tories and PNP - Cards on the Table Folks

I have this to say to the candidates vying for the leadership of the PC Party of PEI:

I think it is high time each of you state unequivocally, whether you support or not, whether you intend to pursue or not, a full public inquiry into the Provincial Nominee Program. An inquiry that will examine, in fine detail, every single application...those rejected and those approved, and the criteria for each decision.

Islanders deserve an answer. Islanders need a leader that isn't afraid to trample the toes that have been kicking most of us in the arse for years. PNP is an Achilles' Heel for the Ghiz band of pirates and their close network of associated Liberal thieves.

CBC is reporting that Mr. Ballem made the claim that PNP kept us out of a recession. I'm deeply disappointed if that statement accurately portrays Mr. Ballem's position on the Ghiz government's handling of the PNP file. We have people working here? Then, show us the jobs created by those thousands of PNP units! With $400,000,000.00 in 18 months, this province should be flushed with cash and prosperity. Yet the Montague Food Bank needs to expand. Emergency rooms continue to close, we're losing a farmer a week, and rural PEI is in a tailspin! And what about those who's EI has run out and still have no job? What about the children who go to school with empty stomachs?

PNP may have kept some people protected from a recession (mostly those who could afford to ride it out), but for those who most needed protection from tough economic times, PNP offered nothing...except a wider gap between the 'haves' and the 'have nots'.

Shame on any of you who dare defend the defenseless actions of the Ghiz Liberals and its PNP Grit Payback Lottery.

Any PC Leadership candidate that opts to defend the PNP program under the Liberals or has no plan or intention to expose the abuse of the program by the Liberals...should just drop out of the race now and go buy that Liberal membership.

Title: PNP

The fact that the PNP program kept a large number of businesses going with cash to pay their current employees is how it kept us out of recession,

If you want to tell the real story, Ballem said it kept us out of recession but did not approve of the Liberal abuse to the application process.

As for jobs, there is a new story every week about places shutting down or bringing in immigrant workers to staff their operations. Places the likes of alberta have given islanders too much pride to work for normal wages in a place where job security is available.
