I realized that the silence that pervaded my house had also pervading my mind. I felt at peace with myself and with my surroundings. This blissful level of consciousness stayed with me as I went to bed and blissfully dozed off to sleep.

In what seemed like the next moment, a head was moving through the wall at me! It was encircled with white light. It was my mother's first cousin JD MacPherson! But his face was younger...he appeared to be in his twenties with longer curlier hair. At first instinct, I thought he was in great distress. Only the next morning did I realize that it was my panic that I was projecting onto him. He was merely speaking to me, but my senses were not picking up his voice.

Almost immediately, fear struck me! "Holy ***!!!" I exclaimed as I awoke and pushed myself back across the bed away from the oncoming vision. The vision vanished with the arrival of my suddenly awakened state.

I was sitting up now on the other side of the bed. I looked at the clock by the bed. It was 1:30 am. I had been asleep almost 2 hours! Even though I was shaken up, I wasn't scared and in a few moments I went back to sleep.

The next morning I tried to make sense of it. I had been awakened by dreams before, but this was no dream. First of all, it was too real! It had a clarity and energy to it that was incomparable to a dream. Secondly, all of my dreams have always taken place in remote locations. This came right through my wall at me! I was sleeping on my side with my eyes in the direction of the wall. I was asleep, but I saw it as if awake. Last of all, it had a divine essence to it. If I hadn't been so startled, I would have been in awe at its splendour!

At noontime I went to yoga. I was doing my prelim stretching when my sister came up to me and asked, Have you heard?" "Heard what?" I responded. "JD MacPherson died approximately 11:30 pm last night," she said.

JD and I were not close in this lifetime, so I don't know why he chose to appear to me. I often reflect on it. I am quite confident that our souls must have been intertwined through many incarnations. Upon dropping his physical casing and moving into the unmanifest, he probably made appearances to different souls with whom he had traveled through eternity. Having been graced by the Divine Source through The Alchemist, I was merely calibrating at a level where I could experience his souls presence in a lifechanging way. Interestingly enough, his wife's name is also Sandy.

In The Alchemist, the alchemist appears to the fable's hero Santiago in the form of an old king and says "when you really want something to happen, the whole universe conspires so that your wish comes true". Although I had a complete faith in a Divine Source and my eternal connection to it, I always wished for more. Now I had that undeniable personal proof. Now the challenge for me is to remember it and live it.

This is the first blog of Angels in our Midst. The main reason for this blog is that I love sharing spiritual experiences with people. It reminds me that there are souls working with our Self (as opposed to our ego's self) to provide us with the most valuable evolutionary experience possible in each moment. I know everyone has had spiritual experiences in the past. Hopefully this blog will inspire you to share your own, remember your own, or leave you more open to experience your own in this moment. This blog requires your angel experiences and the angel experiences of those you know! If you are uncomfortable writing on a blog then call me at 626-1266 or e-mail me at sandy.peardon@td.com, and I will write it up for you. I need your help in getting the word out and also leading me to those around you who have shared their angel experiences with you. One last thing...this is not a competition. I struggled with whether I should share the above experience with you, because it was such a literal example. Most angel experiences are as subtle as an intuitive thought. I only ask that you include in the blog how it affected you.

I plan on compiling them and having them published. So I will be in contact with you, the blogger, and ask for your permission to include your story. You may attach your name to it or not - depending on your preference.
