I was talking to my virtual assistant today, Jaime Mann of Mann Made Time, and she asked if I had seen her blog today and I hadn't. She said I'd like it. I ended up checking it out tonight and was touched by her new design for October and wanted to share it with you.
Maybe you're sick of all of the Think Pink marketing that is going on but I'm not for a couple of reasons. I am not marketed to all that much frankly, as I don't watch tv, or buy newspapers and I try and buy most things second hand and locally. I'm pretty good at ignoring advertising. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that a) a good part of my time is spent online and b) most of my money is spent online - not many companies get a chance to market to me. Basically I live in a bit of a bubble which is pretty common when you have young kids and are running a business like Jaime and I are.
As such, it is refreshing to see another sample of Jaime's creativeness if not for the sole reason that it's a tribute to the many women I've known who have fought *** cancer (see my comment on her post for more on this), but also for the fact that although one may construe the Think Pink campaign as having gone overboard with so many companies having jumped on the bandwagon (think bracelets, tissues, bread, clothing, drinks, etc. - okay, maybe I do notice marketing) but because her message is authentic and her intentions sincere. Transparency is good marketing too, the kind that I go for.
Ps - Jaime has become very busy with her virtual assistant business. I've waited approximatley 6, maybe more, weeks to have an informal "catch-up" phone conversation with her. No exageration - AND her business has more than tripled since the beginning of this year. Way to go Girl!!
