I'm not even sure how to say this using the right lingo, but basically I MENDED a hole in my sweater. My beautiful, lime green, cashmere sweater. I think it's the first time I've sewed a piece of clothing and when I told my mom, she hung onto the stove and felt a bit weak but was greatly pleased. It blew me away that this little sewing kit from an hotel had a needle with a thread through it, pre-threaded-like.

The other thing I did tonight was use my oven (I have done this before but not on a regular basis - the inside of the stove, I mean). I cooked a beautiful chicken dinner with brown rice, sweet potato (I didn't know that the skins just peeled off so easily like that after you bake them - I wish potatoes did the same, or do they?) and my boys loved it. It was the second time in a month that I've used more than 3 pots/pans at one time.

Anyway, I think I'm off to a good start and am committed to getting a hang of these domestic things a bit more, take a few more risks and "just do it" which is one of my favorite sayings.

On the other side of things... is how I could for sure cut back on how much I use my computer and start exercising more. As if you really care dear Reader, but on the off-chance you can relate and that you possibly work too much and/or spend too much time sitting on your rump, this is precisely the behavior that I would like to alleviate somewhat, in my own life (ie. less Facebook).

I met with a lady named Mary MacPhee today, a yoga teacher in Charlottetown , and we talked about PRIVATE CLASSES which I would absolutely love. My kids and I did an 8 week session with her recently and I am looking forward to working with her again. We'll see what transpires but one way or the other, I have to get with some sort of program. My friend Paul MacNeill (and fellow blogger, client and newspaper owner/editor ) takes his kids skiing which I was considering however I'm really not an outdoorsy kinda gal - it just seems kind of ambitious, to be honest, and I think I'll wait until my boys can carry and put on all of their own gear before I attempt this family bonding (and quite chilly, I imagine) experience.

So, possibly I'm getting a bit too personal for my alleged marketing audience, but I may be going after a different readership if I keep up with my domestic diva-ness and less time in the digital world. Is it too late in the New Year to consider new directions? This post is definitely not about being a marketing maven. Next one will be of more value to you. That's my goal ;-)
