The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, of Phyllis Allen, of Marion Drive, St. Eleanors, age 78 years.
Born in Southport, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Winnifred (Kelly) McCarron.
Survived by her husband, David Allen; children, Kerry (Michelle) Allen, Susan (Vernon) Craig, Brenda (Scott) Springer, Brian (Jennifer) Allen; granddaughters, Emily, Cori-Ann, Emma-Sue, Lauren, Marlee and Grace; brothers and sisters, Francis (Marg) McCarron; Jack (Sheila) McCarron; Gerry (Connie) McCarron; Irene (Wesley) O'Blenis; Donnie (Linda) McCarron; Ian (Phyllis) McCarron; and brother-in-law, Jerry Monaghan. Predeceased by her sister Louise Monaghan.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
Members of St. Paul's Catholic Women's League will hold a prayer service at the funeral home, Friday at 3:45 p.m.
