The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton surrounded by family of Nelson Arsenault of Tignish aged 86 years. Husband of the late Eva Arsenault nee Perry.
He was born in Palmer Road on May 27, 1924, the son of the late John Amie and Mary Judith (Gaudet) Arsenault.
Dear father to Aubrey (Ruby) Arsenault, DeBlois; Dale (Jacinta) Arsenault, Tignish; Dana (Kevin) Brown, Summerside; Robert (Colleen) Arsenault, Greenmount and special friend Wanda Arsenault, Tignish.
Loving grandfather to 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Brother to Jane Wedge, St. Louis, Eva Bernard, Palmer Road, Josephine DesRoches, Summerside, Kate MacQuaid, Cornwall and Hilda DesRoches, Tignish. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Delia Perry, Tignish.
He was predeceased by his parents John Amie and Mary Judith, wife Eva, son Roy in infancy, brothers Aldon, Eugene and Amie, sisters Louise and Isabella.
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Saturday 7-9 p.m. for family Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-3 p.m.
Funeral will be held Monday at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 4 p.m.
Memorial donations to Tignish Fire Dept. Equipment Fund or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
