The death occurred after a brief illness in Ottawa, Ont., on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, of Helena A. (nee MacNeill) Bowles in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Desmond Bowles. Mother of Graham, Sharon and Heather. Survived by sisters, Jean and Kay (Richard Stuewe) and brothers Edgar (Mary MacNeill) and Louis (Diane MacNeill). Predeceased by siblings Joseph, Wilfrid, Trudy and Eileen. Friends may attend a memorial service at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd, Ottawa, on Thursday, March 4, at 2 p.m. followed by a reception.
