Peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor Summerside on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, of Constance M. (MacFarlane Corbett) Carruthers, formerly of Albany, aged 88 years, born in Fernwood on April 19, 1921, daughter of the late J. Harrison and Hazel (Davison) MacFarlane. Mother of Ted (Susan) Corbett, Riverview, N.B., and the late James H. Corbett. Grandmother to Michael (Miranda) Corbett, Brian (Connie) Corbett, Tranette Corbett and Farrley Corbett (Paul Gallant), great-grandmother to Quinn, Kayla, Alexander, MacKenzie, Emma, Max and Alexandra, great great-grandmother to Julia. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother- and sister-in-law, Douglas and Nancy MacFarlane and her first husband Eric Corbett. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington until Wednesday then to Bedeque United Church for visitation from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in the North Bedeque Cemetery. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund or Prince County Hospital Foundation.
