The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010 of Ralph Joseph Doucette of Summerside, and formerly of Toronto, Ont., aged 79 years. Ralph was born on Sept. 2, 1930 in Tignish, P.E.I. to his late parents, Frank and Elizabeth (nee Allen) Doucette. Beloved husband of the late Gladys Doucette. Survived by his brother Ivan (Rita) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Ralph was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Albert, Alfred ( Leona ), Melvin (Lucy), Edmund, Leo (Rosie), Rose (Joe) Martin and Ida (Ed) Jones. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, Aug. 26 for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only, 6-9 p.m. Memorial donations in Ralph's memory to St. Paul's Cemetery Fund or the P.E.I. Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
