Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, of A. Florence Gamble (nee Gordon), Charlottetown, age 85 years.
Dear mother of Mary Lee Barrett and Gordon (Rose). Loving grandmother of Lynette MacKinnon (Shane), Nancy Barrett and Timothy Gamble (Christine). Great-grandmother of Sam and Thomas MacKinnon. Florence was the honorary grandmother of Vanessa Campbell (Tom Butler). Mother-in-law of Freddy Barrett. Sister-in-law of Vivian Hyde.
Predeceased by her husband, John S. Gamble; by her grandson, Mark Wade Barrett; by her parents, John and Mary Anne (MacLeod) Gordon; and by her sister and brothers, Cassie MacPhee, Murchison Gordon, Lewis Gordon and John J. Gordon.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Highfield Cemetery.
Visitation Thursday 5-8 p.m.
