The death occurred peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, surrounded by family, of Mary M. Gaudet, formerly of St. Louis, aged 81 years. Beloved wife of Joseph P. Gaudet of Tignish. She was born in Tignish on Jan. 5, 1929, the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Gallant) LeClair. Dear mother of Wayne (Mary Jo) LeClair, Huntsville, Ont.; Raymond (Beverly) Gaudet, Cornwall; Ronnie (Paulette) Gaudet, St. Louis; and Theresa (Stephen) Wood, Penobsquis, N.B. Loving grandmother to Danielle, Jenny (Jacob), Christopher and Julie Gaudet, Melanie, Ashley and Brendan Gaudet, Matthew Belinger and LeAnne Millward and great-grandmother to Ashley Ashton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Elizabeth, daughter Barbara, brothers Edgar and Frank, sisters Gloria and Theresa, sister-in-law Pauline and brothers-in-law LeRoy and Emile. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Monday 7-9 p.m. for family and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. for the public. Funeral will be held Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Maplewood Manor or Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
