The death occurred at the Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown on Sunday, August 29, 2010, peacefully with family by her side, of Ethel Florence Gauthier, formerly of Mayfield, age 87.
Ethel was the beloved mother of Ferne Yates, Helen Rudgene, Ian (Susan), Harvey, Holly and Keith (Laura); grandmother of Angela Richard (John) and Tracey Rudgene (Wayne Houston), Rhonda and Marsha and Connor; and great-grandmother of Robert and Jackie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Joseph Gauthier; son, Clifford, and daughter, Hazel, both in infancy; and son-in-law, Bill Yates.
She was the last surviving member of her family and was predeceased by her parents, Felix and Margaret (Doucette) Gallant; brothers, Alexander, Dickie, Vincent and Lolly; and sisters, May, Hilda, Margaret and Ellen.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Rd., New Glasgow, for visitation on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at 10:30 a.m.
Due to severe allergies please refrain from wearing scented products.
