At the Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, of Ivan John Gordon of Abney, in his 98th year. Loving husband for 70 years of the late Sarah (Munn) Gordon. Dear father of Jean (Kenneth) MacInnis, Archie (Linda), Elsie (Jerry) Moore, William (Valerie) and Iva (David) Higginbotham. Father-in-law of Joyce Gordon. Cherished grandfather of Tammy (Bert) Amey, Kathy (Louie Campbell), Karen (Lincoln) Larter, Anita Gordon, Kelly (Wendell) Matheson, Jennifer Gordon, Joel (Melissa) Moore, Gerald (Erin) Moore and Steven (Ashley) Higginbotham and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother of James and the late Lois Gordon and brother-in-law of Ellen and the late Billy White, Pictou, N.S. Predeceased by parents William and Emily (Buell) Gordon, granddaughter Donalda Gordon, brothers, Ralph and Warren and sisters Elsie Leeco, Kate Moore, Eunice MacNeil, Ethel Gordon and Ida Horton and their spouses. Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home from where the service was held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday. Interment took place in the Murray River Cemetery.
