It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur V. Henderson on Feb. 19, 2010. Son of the late Frances and Henry Henderson, Margate, P.E.I. Arthur leaves behind his devoted wife of 48 years, Elizabeth, and daughters, Susan (Tim Wright) and Lisa (Angus Lloyd). He has left a wonderful legacy in his grandchildren Jordan, Gillian, Jackson, and Keely. Arthur's large P.E.I. family will miss him greatly: Ian - deceased (Alma Paynter-deceased), Kathleen (Harvey Lewis), Vera (Harry Caseley-deceased), Philip (Georgina Millar), Ruby (Dawson Hooper-deceased); Shirley (Bernard Hardwick); Frances; Paul. Arthur is survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss their Uncle Arthur very much. Arthur had a 41-year career at the Bank of Nova Scotia that began in Kensington and ended in Toronto, Ont. As well, Arthur was a member of The New Brunswick Lodge, No. 22, F. & A.M. Saint John, N.B. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at 1 p.m. Funeral service will take place, following at 2 p.m. in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Margate United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
