At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, of Ralph W. Johnstone of Long River, age 96 years.
Born in Long River on May 5, 1914, son and last surviving member of the late Oscar and Annie G. (Warren) Johnstone family.
Husband of Marion H. (Howard) Johnstone. Father of Dale (Hilda) Johnstone. Grandfather of Brian (Susan) Johnstone, Paul Johnstone (Donna White), Karen Carragher and Kimberley (Allison) Gaudet and several great-grandchildren. Father-in-law of Mary Johnstone. Brother-in-law of Eileen Profitt and Vera (John) Dekker. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his first wife, Elda (Bernard); son, Barry; sister, Jennie; brother, Leigh; and sister-in-law, Georgia Johnstone; brothers-in-law, Ralph Howard and Harold Profitt.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Geddie Memorial Cemetery, Spring Brook.
Brethren of Prince Edward Lodge #14, Grahams Road will hold a Masonic memorial service in the funeral home Friday evening at 9.
