The death occurred at her late residence, on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, of Gladys Lecky, of Hawthorne Avenue, Summerside, aged 87 years. Born in Tyne Valley, she was the daughter of the late William "Will" and Amelia (Brown)
Ellis. Survived by her children, George (Marge) Lecky; Helen (Lorne) Arsenault; Millie (Steve) Kirby; Tina (Richard) Burness; Desmond Lecky
(Joyce Robertson); Eileen Warren (Bernie Jacobsen); Greg (Jane) Lecky; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Elvira Gorrill and Bertha MacLeod; and sister-in-law Loretta MacDonald. Predeceased by her husband Leo Lecky; infant son Joseph Leo; grandson Michael Kirby; great-great-granddaughter Faith Hope Walker;
brothers George and Leonard Ellis; sister Olivene Cotton; and son-in-law Louis Warren. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside.
