MACFARLANE, Margaret Elizabeth (Peggy)
Peggy MacFarlane of Fredericton, N.B., passed away August 12, 2010, at the Oromocto Public Hospital. She was born in Hampshire, P.E.I., on July 25, 1922, a daughter of the late Watson and Florrie (MacKinnon) Larter. Peggy was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Canadian Forces in England, where she met her husband, the late Norman MacFarlane. Returning to Canada, they lived for a number of years in Temperance Vale before moving to Fredericton where she began working at the Physical Plant at UNB. Peggy enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, camping and snowmobiling. She was a member of the Canadian Foresters. She is survived by three sisters, Flossie MacFarlane, Temperance Vale, N.B., Christie Easter (Leath), North Wiltshire, P.E.I., and Mildred Ferris, Yorkton, Saskatchewan; two sisters-in-law, Isabel Watts and Sarah Larter, both of P.E.I.; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was predeceased by a sister, Frances Tremere and three brothers Elmer, William and infant Bruce Larter. In keeping with Peggy's wishes there will be no visitation and a private graveside service will be held at Otis Cemetery, Nackawic, N.B.
