Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, of Kenneth Joseph McHugh of Norway, P.E.I., age 80 years. Loving husband to Phyllis (nee Morrissey) McHugh. Born on July 28, 1929, he was the son of the late Reginald and Mary (nee McGrath) McHugh. He is survived by his stepchildren: Claude (Roma) Dorgan, Joe (Patsy) Dorgan, Mary (Earl) McGrath, Mickey (Lynn) Dorgan, Raymond (Nora) Dorgan, Patrick (Gloria) Dorgan, Juanita (Don) Leary. Brother to Ray (Margaret) McHugh, Aelred (Sylvia) McHugh, and Wilma (Clarence) Griffin, and brother-in-law Gerald Hackett. He will be sadly missed by his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Geraldine Hackett and by a brother Robert. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, for visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday afternoon March 5 from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment later in the church cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Wish Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.
