Peacefully on March 6, 2010, at the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ont., in his 72nd year, our gentle giant, surrounded by his family, passed away after a hard fought battle with multiple health issues. Steve fought with courage, grace and dignity and always with a smile on his face. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Margo (nee MacDonald, formerly of Pictou, Nova Scotia and Charlottetown, P.E.I.); his former wife Patricia; much loved children, Karen, John and Mark (Chantal); dear grandchildren, Matthew and Christian; and his adored furry friend, "Ozzy." Predeceased by his parents, Malcolm and Clare, U.K.; and his sister, Diana, Botswana, S.A. Steve loved his brothers and sisters-in-law: Norman and Lynne (MacDonald, Toronto), Hector and Eleanor (MacDonald, Charlottetown, P.E.I.), and John (Higgins, Botswana, S.A.) so very much and equally, his nieces and nephews: Ashley, Brittany, Allison, Jonathan and Rebecca. Following his memorial service on Wednesday, March 10, Steve will rest at Meadowvale Cemetery, Mississauga, Ont.
