Peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, of James Cyril O'Connor, formerly of Kildare Capes, in his 80th year. Born on Feb. 1, 1931, he was the son of the late R. Emmett and Ruth (nee MacIntyre) O'Connor. Lovingly remembered by his children Randell (Michael) of Centreville Virginia; Patti Hansen of Calgary, Alta.; and Stephen (late Janice) of Calgary. Dear grandfather to Cheryl (Chris) Lendvoy, Riley Hansen and Jessie Hensen. Great-grandfather to Chloe. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters: George (Anita) of Toronto; Helen (late Tom) Toye of Lynn, Mass.; Agnes (Edward) Laughlin of Brantford, Ont.; and Gertrude Girard of Richmond Hill, Ont. He was predeceased by siblings Frank, Mary Foley, Alice Foley, Roland and Leo. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday morning from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
