REEVES, Wyville Leigh

Wyville Leigh Reeves of Fredericton, N.B., and formerly of Freetown, P.E.I., passed away Feb. 20, 2010 at White Rapids Manor in Fredericton Junction. Born at Kensington, P.E.I., on Jan. 11, 1931, he was a son of the late George and Lulu (Cameron) Reeves. Wyville was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for a number of years, worked for the CNR, on car ferries and was also a carpenter. He enjoyed harness racing and was devoted to his horses. Wyville was a fun loving family man who truly cherished time spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma G. (Thomas) Reeves; his children, David Reeves (Michelle), Ottawa, ON, Katherine Donnelly (Eldon), Lake George, NB, Marla Donovan (Kevin), Grand Bay-Westfield, NB and Roxanne Reeves (Shawn Graham), Rexton, NB; his eight grandchildren, Annalisa, Benjamin, Leslie (Lisa), Matthew, Shane, Emma, Andrew and Krista; his sisters, Wilda Paynter, Carleton, PEI and Rhonda Carr (Kenneth), New Annon, PEI; his brothers, George Reeves (Donna) Edmonton, AB and Eustace Reeves (Dorothy), Freetown, PEI and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Wyville was predeceased by an infant brother, Milo. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 from 1 p.m. until the hour of funeral service at 3 p.m. Rev. Eleanor Dryden will officiate, assisted by Rev. Dr. Karl Csaszar. The family will also be receiving friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4, 199 Queen Street, Fredericton, NB. Interment will be at a later date. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Wyville, the family has suggested the New Brunswick Alzheimer Society.
