The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 of Johnny E. Richard, dear husband of Aline (nee Arsenault) Richard of St. Raphael at the age of 86 years. He is the son of late Augustin and Theodosie (nee Arsenault) Richard. Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving sons and daughters Gary (Carmella) Richard Mont Carmel, Michel (Aldona) Richard Urbainville, Nola (Lloyd) Richard St. Raphael, Roger (Linda) Richard Mississauga, Ont., Louis Richard, Mt. Carmel, Maurice Richard of St. Raphael, Terrence (Florence) Richard Summerside and Mona (Clare) Richard Mont Carmel, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Also survived by brothers and sisters Charles (Antoinette) Dieppe, N.B.; Leonie (Wilfred) St. Raphael; Rene (Sylvina) Summerside; Rita (late Edgar) and special friend Paul Emile Boudreau Moncton, N.B.; also by brothers- and sisters-in-law Alcide (Eileen); Norma; Eric (Julie); Alta (Hector); Marie (Amand), Irene (Gavin) an Alfred (Sheila). Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by two brothers Sylvere and Andre. He was a veteran of WW2. Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home until Saturday, then to Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church for funeral mass at 11 a.m.
Visitation shall be received Friday for family at 2 p.m., public 7-9 p.m. Please refrain from scents; no perfume or shaving lotion as requested by family.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion Wellington will have a remembrance service for their late comrade on Friday at 6:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
