Hospice of Southern Kings would like to thank the following choirs who participated in our annual Choral concert November 27. All Saints, Cardigan, Cardigan Presbyterian, Hillcrest United, Memorial United, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian, Montague, Murray Harbour Baptist, Murray Harbour North Presbyterian, St. Mary’s, Montague, St. Paul’s, Sturgeon, Montague Church of Christ, and the Combined Men’s Ensemble.
We are most grateful to these choirs and their directors; without them the concert would not happen. In particular we would like to thank Joan Murchison, organist/pianist, and Yvonne Higgins, Massed Choir Director, for their endless hours of planning and practice, Mary and Gene Murphy, Master of Ceremonies, and Marian Bruce on the organizing committee, Tony MacDonald and Terry Mermuys at St. Mary’s – your help was invaluable. We are also grateful to Country Garden Florist for brightening up our baskets, the Atlantic Superstore for the loan of your decorative Christmas greenery and to Jonathan at The Eastern Graphic and Steve Sharratt at The Guardian for their photos and stories. Finally we wish to say how appreciative we are to our very generous friends who attended; without you we would be unable to sustain our presence. We hope to see you all again next year!
