Eastern PEI residents brave windy conditions to get a glimpse of Earl
The strong wind and sheets of rain didn't stop curious onlookers from getting a glimpse of the effects of Tropical Storm Earl as it passed through Eastern PEI Saturday afternoon.
The first photo shows a number of people who braved the conditions in Panmure Island. Leah Decoste, an employee at the Panmure Island Provincial Park, said Earl ripped out two storm drains and a shed door at the park but there was no other damage as of 2 pm Saturday.
In the second photo, Lois Murphy of Sturgeon and her niece, Solene Murphy, of Ottawa, observe the pounding waves along Graham's Pond. In the third photo, a group of youth took advantage of some flooding on Main Street in Montague and purposely got themselves soaking wet from the passing vehicles.
