The Montague Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion celebrated its 79th anniversary last Thursday. Seven First World War Veterans founded the Legion in 1932. Here, president Gilbert Murphy cuts a celebratory cake, flanked by the Legion executive including, from left, Joseph MacLean, Debi Smith, Grant Dixon, Sterling Conrad and William MacLure.
