Hurricane Earl continues along its projected path towards the Maritimes, as residents make preparations for its arrival on Saturday. 

Earl has been downgraded to a Category 1 Hurricane but continues to bring the warnings of severe weather conditions for the Maritime region on Saturday. Tropical storm warnings have been extended across the Island. Winds gusting from 90 to 110 km/h are expected.

Anywhere from 40 to 70 mm of rain is also expected, with as much as 25 mm falling in a one-hour period.
