Miniature horses were a hit
It’s not everyday miniature horses trot through the lobby of the Colville Manor in Souris, Prince and Bartoya from M&M Lucky Hooves in O’Leary did just that recently. Henry Townshend of Fortune, a retired farmer, happened to be visiting the manor at the time and had a chance to see the horses outdoors. Residents and staff at Colville Manor in Souris had the pleasure of greeting some special four-legged guests recently when Prince and Bartoya, two miniature horses arrived for a visit from O’Leary. The horses are part of M&M Lucky Hooves, a program that takes miniature horses to senior care facilities and schools for special needs children to encourage verbal and physical communication. Manor resident Marion Sutherland offered Prince a gentle pat, while Mary Gallant, executive director of the program watched.
