Playground fundraiser colours principal's world
It’s not every day that a student gets to spraypaint the principal’s hair in wild colours, but that’s what Alexander Mallard, left, did on Friday morning when he got the hairspray out and sprayed Montague Consolidated principal Tim Murphy’s hair in green and purple in front of the entire student body. This was as a result of the Grade 3 student selling the most tickets in a basket raffle fundraiser in support of the Surfer’s Paradise Playground, the new school playground which opened recently. The raffle raised a total of $2,240 for the playground.
