Artist John Gamble is was doing double duty at the Wellness Centre on November 30. While manning his booth at the fourth annual Christmas craft fair the Murray River resident was working on another painting to add to his inventory.

Aside form all the paintings he has on hand, Mr Gamble also does commission work and will be offering painting classes in January at the Montague Rotary Library.

The craft fair is a fund raiser for the Montague skating club.

Jennifer Burke was one of 20 venders toting her wares at the Montague Skating Club Christmas craft fair on November 30.

This is the fourth year for the fund raiser and organizer Michelle Chapman said even though the club isn’t running this year proceeds will help pay the bills and hopefully get the kids back on the ice next year.

Ms Burke has been making homemade greeting cards for friends and family for many years. This is the first year the Murray River resident is selling to the public.

It was the first time for vendor Judy Handley at the Christmas craft fair in Montague on November 30.

The Montague resident, formerly from BC was selling her handmade Christmas centre pieces along with some unique china cup bird feeders.

She said while there is plenty of raw material here for her centrepieces, she does miss the cedar that was abundant in her native province. Charlotte MacAulay photos
