Dozens of people made their way to the waterfront Saturday evening to watch a storm surge push water from the Montague River over the boardwalk. Many took photos and others sat in their vehicles, left for awhile and returned later to watch the tide's progress. Erosion along the riverbank was seen in Georgetown while a boat in Lower Montague was also pushed onto dry land in the exceptionally high tide and winds gusting more than 100 kms in some eastern PEI locations.
