Tammy Dewar’s rink, representing the Montague Curling Club put up a good fight but lost a bid to represent PEI at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts next month to Erin Carmody's rink of Summerside Tuesday afternoon.
Dewar lost by a score of 8-6 and had she won that game play would have gone to a winner-take-all match Tuesday evening.
Carmody's rink will compete at the Scotties in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario from January 30 to February 7, 2010.
Dewar's rink included June Moyaert, Darlene London and Gail Greene.
