This big old poplar tree in St.Peter's was taken down by the high winds gusting to 100 kms and more on the weekend. The tree fell just a few yards from Rick's Fish and Chips restaurant and landed in the parking lot in front of the building.A tree this old and large could have caused significant damage to the restaurant or to the house next door if the wind had been blowing from a different direction.
