The funeral for M. Iris Arsenault was held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, from Belvedere Funeral Home to St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cornwall, where the funeral mass was presided over by Father Eric Dunn assisted by Father Martin Carter. Father Dunn also proclaimed the Gospel and delivered the homily. The readings were proclaimed by Linda Gaudet, Cindy Arsenault and Mark MacLeod. Theresa Arsenault led the assembly in the prayers of intercession. The musicians included Bernie Field, Allan White and Gary Gagnon. During the mass, the church choir, under the direction of Nancy Murphy, led the assembly in singing Be Not Afraid, Father Of Love, Hear Us Your Children, Come To The Water, Woman Of Mystery and Here I Am Lord. Pallbearers were Walter Morris, Donald Morris, Jim Morris, Richard Arsenault, Cody Arsenault and Scott Arsenault. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Those attending the funeral liturgy included staff of the Charlottetown Airport Authority.
