The funeral for Eunice Bernard of Abram Village was held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from the Evangeline Funeral Home to St. Philippe & St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where the funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by Father Eloi Arsenault assisted by Deacon Cyrus Gallant. The active pallbearers were Earl, Allen, Michel, Roger, Donald and Shawn Bernard. The flowerbearers were Desmond and Yvonne Arsenault and Caroline Gaudet. The readings were given by Caroline Brenton and Linda Dunn and the prayers of the faithful were led in by Paulette LeBlanc and Mallory Bernard. The crossbearer was Auldine Huot and the candlebearers were Simone Arsenault and Sylvia Barriault. The Egmont Bay and the Mont Carmel church choirs sang under the direction of organist Edmond Gallant. Interment was in the church cemetery.
