BOTTS, Ray Francis

The funeral service for Ray Francis Botts, beloved husband of Delma (nee Gallant) Botts, of O’Leary, was held on Thursday July15, 2010, from the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary to St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock, with Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:30 am by Rev. Fr. Michel Painchaud, who proclaimed the Gospel and delivered the homily. The altar servers were Bill Costain, Yvonne Wedge, Leith Bulger and Jim Clements. The first reading was offered by Ray’s daughter in law, Natalie Botts. The second reading and prayers of the faithful were offered by Ray’s son, Ron Botts.. The Eucharistic minister was Aldona Gallant. The music was led by St. Anthony’s Church Choir accompanied by organist Dana Lee Lynch. The processional hymn was “Here I Am Lord”, Psalm was “The Lord Is My Shepherd”, Offertory hymn was “Amazing Grace”, the Communion hymn was “ Be Not Afraid”, Post Communion Hymn was “Ashokan Farewell”, played on the violin by Ray’s granddaughter, Amanda Botts. The Song of Farewell was “Song Of the Angels” and the Recessional hymn was “How Great Thou Art”. The pallbearers were Larry Davies, Brian McCabe, Rodney Shaw, Barry Gallant, John Martin, and Davie Botts. The Flower Bearers were Ray’s grandchildren; Lyndsay Botts, Ashley Botts, Traci Botts, Allyson Botts, Steven Botts, Amanda Botts, and Christopher Botts. The Usher was Lawrence Gallant. Interment followed in the St. Anthony’s parish cemetery.
