The funeral for Louise Bourque of Mount Stewart was held Wednesday, December 23, 2009, From St. Andrew's Church, Mount Stewart, where the funeral mass was conducted by Reverend Maurice Praught, who delivered the homily and offered the prayers of intercession. The reading was proclaimed by Clifford Affleck. The eucharistic lay server was Emmett McKenna. The funeral mass was sung by the parish choir. The organist was Barb McKenna. During the funeral mass, the choir sang the processional hymn, Be Not Afraid; the psalm, The Lord Is My Shepherd; the communion hymn, How Great Thou Art; and the recessional hymn, Like A Shepherd. Among those attending the funeral liturgy were representatives of Mount Stewart Seniors Group. The interment will take place at a later date in Quebec. Completion of funeral arrangements was entrusted to the Hennessey Funeral Home.
