CLOW, Preston
The funeral for Preston Clow, husband of Shirley Clow, of Summerside, was held Friday, August 6, 2010, from the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 am by Rev. Brad Sweet, who delivered the homily, proclaimed the Gospel and led in the prayers of the faithful. Eucharistic ministers were Clarence Doyle and George Olscamp. Crossbearer was George Olscamp. Candle bearers were Everett Durant and Rene Richard. Incense bearer was Windsor Arsenault. The first reading was given by Heather Chaisson and the second reading was given by André Gauthier. The processional hymn was Prayers Of St. Francis. Hymns were How Great Thou Art, Gather Us Together and In The Garden. Recessional Hymn was Battle Hymn of the Republic. Organist was Geraldine Hynes. Ushers were Vivian Gallant and Yvonne Gallant. Parking attendant was Gordie Arsenault. Attending the funeral mass were members of the Summerset Manor auxiliary. Everyone in attendance was considered an honorary pallbearer. Pallbearers were Floyd Clow, John Clow, Paul Hippenstall, Robert Chaisson, Dwayne Watson and James MacAusland. Internment took place in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Summerside, with Rev. Brad Sweet officiating. On Thursday evening, members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, held a service of remembrance at the funeral home, conducted by Austin MacLellan. Sergeant-at-arms was Irving Arsenault. Flag bearers were Earl Gallant and Dophie Mazerolle. Last Post and Reveille were sounded by Reg MacLellan.
