The funeral for C. Clarence Cole, of Wilmot Valley and formerly of Spring Valley, was held Sunday, December 3, 2009, from the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, to St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Irishtown, where the service was conducted at 2 p.m. by Rev. Cathy Pharo and Rev. Shirley Cole McFadden. Readings were given by Bill McFadden. St. Stephen's men's choir rendered the selection, The Church In The Wildwood. Congregational hymn was The Beautiful Garden Of Prayer. Recessional hymn was Shall We Gather At The River. Organist was Gwendy Murphy. Attending the funeral were staff of Cole's Restaurant, Kensington, members of Spring Valley Women's Institute and St. Stephen's ACW. Honorary pallbearers were Kenny Graham, Gilbert Bell, Brian Paynter, Gary Simpson, Blair Caseley, William Profitt, Carl Adams, Garth Caseley, Leif Taylor and Grant Cousins. Pallbearers were Andy MacLeod, Chris Cole, Jeffrey Cole, Delmar Connick, Billy Pickering and Grant Mann. Flowerbearers were Chancie Cole, Kim Crozier, Tammy MacLeod and Angela Costain. Crossbearer was Rose McFadden. Parking attending was Brent Cole. Ushers were Keith Sudsbury and Earl Adams. Interment was in the church cemetery.
