CONNOLLY, Emma Mary

The funeral for Emma M. Connolly (nee Campbell) of Charlottetown was held Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, from the Hennessey Funeral Home to St. Dunstan's Basilica where the funeral mass was celebrated by Reverend Danny Wilson, who also delivered the homily. Nephew, Norman Murnaghan, and niece, Karen Campbell, read the lessons. Niece, Linda Campbell, offered the prayers of intercession. The funeral mass was sung by the parish funeral choir. The organist was Elmer Power. During the funeral, the choir sang the processional hymn, Be Not Afraid; the responsorial psalm, The Lord's My Shepherd; and the recessional hymn, Blest Are They. The offertory hymn, Panis Angelicus, and the communion hymn, Ave Maria, were sung by soloist Flora Anne Whitty. Pallbearers were grandson, Mark Creamer and his wife, Sara Creamer; nephews, Ronnie Campbell, Patrick Campbell, Kenny Campbell and Norman Murnaghan. Among those attending the funeral were Sisters of the Congregation of St. Martha. The interment will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
