The funeral for Barbara Currie, of Summerside, was held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where service was conducted at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Don MacPherson. Soloist, Christine Anderson-Gallant, rendered In The Bulb There Is A Flower. A eulogy as given by nephew, Morgan Currie. The congregational hymn was The Lord's My Shepherd. Reflections of her life were given by Helen MacDonald. The recessional hymn was Battle Hymn of the Republic. Organist was Christine Anderson-Gallant. Attending the funeral service were teachers and retired teachers of the Western School Board and curlers and staff of the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club. Everyone in attendance was considered to be an honorary pallbearer. Interment will later take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside.
