The funeral for Paul D. Doyle, beloved husband of Elizabeth Doyle, was held Friday, January 29, 2010, from the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, to the St. Mark's Catholic Church, Burton, where funeral mass was celebrated by Rev. Greg Conway assisted by Rev. Art Pendergast. Rev. Conway delivered the homily and had the prayers of final commendation and farewell. The first reading was read by Brandi Stewart. The second reading was read by Sarah Clark. The prayers of the faithful were read by Mary Doyle. The processional hymn was "Be Not Afraid". The psalm was "The Lord's My Shepherd"; "There Is Nothing I Shall Want". The offertory hymn was "St. Francis Of Assisi". The communion hymn was a solo "Ave Maria" rendered by Antoinette Perry. Song of farewell was "Songs of the Angels." The recessional hymn was "On Eagle's Wings" by Antoinette Perry. The pall was placed by brothers Rae, Mark and Donnie Doyle. The offertory gifts were carried by Beth Cousins and Maureen O'Meara. The honorary pallbearers were Daniel MacDonald, Patrick Doyle and Brian MacDonald. The active pallbearers were Matthew Stewart, Fraser Clark, Mark Cousins, Mark Doyle, Greg Coughlin and Andrew Stewart. Interment was in the church cemetery.
