The funeral for Claudette Marie Evelyn Duhamel of Woodstock, formerly of Toronto, Ont., was held on Saturday, December 26, 2009, from the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary to St. Anthony's Church, Woodstock where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Fr. Michel Painchaud, who also proclaimed the Gospel and delivered the homily. The first reading was given by Valerie DesRoches, second reading by Almeda Thibodeau and the prayers of the faithful by Sarah Jeffery. The altar servers were Yvonne Wedge, Rebecca and Leith Bulger. The Eucharistic ministers were Jean Hagen and Mary Lynch. The choir was under the direction of organist Claude Brisson. The processional hymn was "Be Not Afraid", Psalm was "The Lord's My Shepherd", offertory hymn was "J'irai la voir un jour", communion hymn was "Ave Maria," song of farewell was "May the Choirs of Angels" and the recessional hymn was "Sur le seuil de sa maison". The pallbearers were Dennis Gallant, Kevin Murray, Mark Arsenault, Russell Jones, Eric Jones and Francis Pineau all members of the Cyril J. Gallant Knights of Columbus. An honour guard was formed by members of St. Anthony's CWL for their late member. Also attending the service were management and staff of Rodd's Mill River Resort. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
