DUNNING, Ian C.

The funeral for Ian C. Dunning was held Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, from Belvedere Funeral Home to Winsloe United Church where the service was conducted by Reverend Eric Lynk of Winsloe United Church, and Reverend Claudia Kitson of the Cavendish-Breadalbane Pastoral Charge. Words of remembrance, written by his son, Gary Dunning, and daughter, Donna Butler, were read by Rev. Eric Lynk. A poem entitled Pennies From Heaven was also read on behalf of his granddaughters, Selynn and Sarah Butler. The organist was Janet Hurry. During the service, Virginia MacIsaac and Joy MacIntyre sang Where The Roses Never Fade and He The Pearly Gates Will Open. The Winsloe United Church choir led the congregation in singing Beyond The Sunset, How Great Thou Art and All The Way My Saviour Leads Me. Honorary pallbearers were Boyce and Gloria Stevenson, Shirley Wagner, Wendell and Myrna Profitt, Kenny and Jean Kneabone, Eric and Lois Sinclair, Vernon and Bernice Matheson, Eleanor Compton, Arthur and Amy Johnstone, John Folland, George and Sally Younker, Gordon and Vera MacKenzie, Blaine and Joyce Taylor, Billy and Marlene Coles and Garth and Nell Mallett. Pallbearers were James Robbins, Danny Robbins, Hallie Coles, Paul Poole, Robbie Nantes and Robert Matheson. Flowerbearers were his two granddaughters, Selynn and Sarah Butler. Interment took place in North Granville Cemetery. Those attending the funeral service included management and staff of Charlottetown Metal Products, members of the P.E.I. Snowmobile Association, representatives of Seaview Reuben's Jamboree, members of the Winsloe United Church Women, members of Central Trinity United Church Women, representatives of Winsloe Lion's Club, staff of Red Rock Harley Davidson, Toy Master Motor Sports, Route 2 Auto Sales and Health Association of P.E.I.
