The funeral for Doris M. Field of Charlottetown was held Saturday, December 19, 2009, from the Hennessey Funeral Home to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer where the concelebrated funeral mass was offered by Reverend Floyd Gallant as chief celebrant and homilist. He was assisted by Reverend John Lacey. The funeral pall was placed on the casket by son, Paul Field, and daughter, Catherine McCann, who also lit the paschal candle. The lessons were read by her daughter-in-law, Bernie Field, who also offered the prayers of intercession, and son-in-law, Bob McCann. The church choir under the direction of Mary Jenkins sang the mass. The organist was Judy Donovan Whitty. During the mass they sang the processional hymn Here I Am Lord; the offertory hymn, For Those Tears I Died; the communion hymn, Come To The Water; and the recessional hymn, Lord Jesus, Of You I Will Sing. The church usher was William Jay Sr. Pallbearers were Colin Younker, Shannon LeClair, and grandsons, John McCann, Chris Field, Tyler Field and Alex Field. The interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
