The funeral for Patricia (Pat) Flynn of St. Peter's Road, Charlottetown, was held Thursday, December 31, 2009, from All Saints Church, Cardigan, where the funeral mass was celebrated by Reverend Brendon Gallant, who also delivered the homily. The funeral pall was placed on the casket by nieces, Rose Ingalls and Lisa Flynn. The lessons were read by niece Nancy Ingalls and friend Eileen Ferguson. The prayers of intercession were offered by Ann O'Donnell. The gifts were brought to the altar by nieces Nancy Ingalls and Lynn Ingalls. The funeral mass was sung by Claudia Batchilder. The organist was Kevin Gotell. The processional hymn was Come Back To Me; the responsorial psalm was And I Will Follow; the offertory hymn was Peace Is Flowing; the communion hymn was Away In A Manger; and the recessional hymn was Amazing Grace. Pallbearers were nephew, John Flynn; and friends, George Hughes, Parnell Hughes, Mike Campbell, Bruce Snook, and Roger Constable. The interment took place in All Saints Parish Cemetery where Fr. Gallant held the graveside service. Completion of funeral arrangements was entrusted to the Hennessey Funeral Home.
