GALLANT, Mary Ellen
The funeral for the late Mary Ellen Gallant, beloved wife of the late Emile Gallant of Toronto and formerly of Tignish, was held on Wednesday July 14,2010 from the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton, to St.Simon and St.Judes Church Tignish, where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 am by the Rev. Edward Cormier who delivered the homily and had the prayers of final commendation and fair well. The first reading was addressed by Theresa Ruttgaizer. The second reading was addressed by Tamiko Pfeiffer who also invited the prayers of the faithfull. The Eucharistric ministers were Emilda Pitre, Theresa Doucette and Aggie Gaudet. The crucifer was George Doucette and the candle bearers were Stephen Gallant and Joseph DesRoches. The altar server was James Hogan. The choir was under the direction of the cantor Vincent Doucette. The organist was Antoinette Perry. The entrance hymn was Amazing Grace, the psalm was In The Sight of the Angels I will sing your Praises Lord. The offertory hymn was I Will Never Forget You my People. The communion hymn was Be Not Afraid. Following communion Dennis Pitre (Violin) and Vincent Doucette (Guitar) played the French hymn J,irai La Voir Un Jour. The song of fair well was Songs of the Angels. The recessional hymn was How Great Thou Art. The pallbearers were Harold Gallant, Barbara Young, Alan Matsumoto, Phillip Dougan, Scott Ruttgaizer, Devin Gallant-Turner.
Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev.Edward Cormier officiating. www.rooneyfh.ca
