The largely attended funeral for the late James William (Jamie) Getson of Kildare Capes was held on Wednesday afternoon August 4, 2010 from the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton to the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene where funeral service was conducted at 2:00 pm with Pastor Sheila McCrea-MacCallum officiating. The opening remarks and message was delivered  by pastor Shelia McCrea-MacCallum. The scripture readings and prayer was addressed by Rev. Ross Morrison.  The tribute was given by Leanne Jacobson. The 23rd  Psalm was read by Laurie Smythe. A duet, "Precious Lord take My Hand" was rendered by Edith Campbell and Phyllis Pizio. The organist was Nola Rennie and the pianist was Marilyn Ashley. During the service Cheryl Richard rendered three solo's "I Will Remember You", "Come to the Water" and "Never Alone".  The pianist was Dana Lee Lynch. The staff from G & I Adams attended in a group. The honourary pallbearers were Josh Rayner, Cody Butler, Mark Jelley, Brent Coxworthy, Spencer Bernard, Timmy Richard, Owen Pitre, Chad Butler. The active pallbearers were Justin Bell, Boyde Jelley, Eric Allain, Nelson Rayner, Jerry McGuigan, Matthew Dunbar. The flowerbearers were Carrie Butler, Jill Jelley, Nicole Jelley, Leanne Jacobson, Hilary Coxworthy, Donna Gavin, Holly Coxworthy, Karla Murphy, Kayla Peterson. The ushers were Alton Sellick and Henry Wallace. The sound technician was Walter Davidson. Interment was in the Greenmount Church of Christ Cemetery with Pastor Sheila McCrea-MacCallum and  Rev.Ross Morrison officiating. www.rooneyfh.ca
