The funeral service for Lois Mildred Gordon of Abney was held Friday, December 4, 2009, in the Southern King's and Queen's Funeral Home chapel, Murray River. Pastor Scott Herring officiated and Marian Bruce was organist. Soloist, Mary Lou MacLure, sang In The Garden accompanied by Roy MacDonald on guitar. The congregational hymn was Shall We Gather At The River. Pallbearers were Glen Leeco, Roy MacDonald, Robert Leeco, Lorne Leeco, Roy Leeco and Ewen Cuddy. Flowerbearers were grandchildren, James Gordon, Lacey Gordon, Clinton Gordon, Connie Stewart, Jonathon MacNeill and Jennifer Farnham. Honorary pallbearers were everyone present. Management and staff of Gillis Lodge attended the service. Interment took place in the Murray River Cemetery.
