The funeral for Douglas Orville Harris of Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, formerly of Knutsford was held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O'Leary with service at 3 p.m. conducted by Pastor Chris Price. Mary Gamble offered remembrances on behalf of the family of her uncle. Psalm 23 was read by Lori Beck. The choir under the direction of organist Corrine Peters sang "The Eastern Gate", "In the Bulb There is a Flower" and "Beyond The Sunset". Everyone in attendance was considered to be an honorary pallbearer. The pallbearers were Charles Harris, Skip Beck, Bill Coughlin and Grant Ellis. Interment will take place in the spring in the Springfield West Baptist Church Cemetery.
