The funeral for Douglas Orville Harris of Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, formerly of Knutsford, was held Sunday, December 20, 2009, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O'Leary, with service at 3 p.m. conducted by Pastor Chris Price. Mary Gamble offered remembrances of her uncle on behalf of the family. Psalm 23 was read by Lori Beck. The choir, under the direction of organist Corrine Peters, sang The Eastern Gate, In The Bulb There Is A Flower and Beyond The Sunset. Everyone in attendance was considered to be an honorary pallbearer. Pallbearers were Charles Harris, Skip Beck, Bill Coughlin and Grant Ellis. Interment will take place in the spring in the Springfield West Baptist Church Cemetery.
